Ans: Yes, both the Preliminary and Main examinations have negative marking. 1/3rd of the marks allotted for a question will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

Ans: No, the Preliminary exam is only qualifying in nature. Its marks are not added to the final merit list. The final selection is based on the marks obtained in the Main examination.
