JTET Paper 2 is a single-stage, offline qualifying examination. Candidates who pass this exam receive an eligibility certificate, which is a mandatory requirement for applying to upper primary teacher vacancies in Jharkhand government schools.

Q1: Who is eligible to apply for JTET Paper 2?

Ans: Candidates who have a Graduation degree and are in the final year of or have passed a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed), OR have a Graduation degree with at least 50% marks and are in the final year of or have passed a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) / 2-year B.Ed are eligible.

Q2: Can a B.Com graduate with B.Ed choose the Mathematics and Science stream?

Ans: No. As per the standard norms, B.Com graduates are eligible to choose the Social Studies stream. The Mathematics and Science stream is for candidates with a B.Sc degree in relevant subjects.

Q3: Is it mandatory to have a domicile of Jharkhand to apply for JTET?

Ans: Yes, as per the rules of the Jharkhand government, only candidates who are local residents (domicile) of Jharkhand are eligible to apply for the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET).

Q4: What is the validity of the JTET Paper 2 certificate?
