The selection process for JSSC Matric Level posts is based on a single-stage Mains written examination. The exam is conducted in an OMR-based offline format and consists of three separate papers, all held on the same day.

Paper 1: Hindi & English Language

This paper is qualifying in nature and tests basic language skills.

  • Hindi Language (80 Questions): Based on unseen passages (30 questions) and Hindi Grammar (50 questions).
  • English Language (40 Questions): Based on unseen passages (20 questions) and English Grammar (20 questions).
Paper 2: Regional/Tribal Language

Candidates have to choose any one language from the given options (e.g., Khortha, Nagpuri, Kurmali, Mundari, Santhali, etc.). The syllabus for each language is specific and includes its grammar, literature, folk stories, and idioms. This paper is crucial for merit.

Paper 3: General Studies

This is a broad paper covering multiple subjects.

Q1: Are all three papers of the Mains exam conducted on the same day?

Ans: Yes, all three papers of the JMLCCE Mains examination are conducted on the same day in different shifts.

Q2: What happens if I fail to score 30% in Paper 1?

Ans: Paper 1 is a qualifying paper. If a candidate fails to secure the minimum 30% marks in Paper 1, their Paper 2 and Paper 3 will not be evaluated, and they will be disqualified from the selection process.

Q3: What is the educational qualification for the JSSC Matric Level exam?

Ans: The minimum educational qualification is a 10th Class (Matriculation) pass from a recognized board. Some posts may require a specific technical qualification like an ITI certificate.

Q4: Are the marks of all three papers added for the final merit list?
