The selection process for Navik (GD) is a multi-stage process. The first and most critical stage is the Computer-Based Written Examination (CGEPT). For the Navik (GD) post, candidates must appear for and qualify in both Section I and Section II of the written test.

Q1: What is the educational qualification for Indian Coast Guard Navik (GD)?

Ans: Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Maths and Physics from an education board recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).

Q2: What is the age limit for applying for Navik (GD)?

Ans: The age limit is a minimum of 18 years and a maximum of 22 years. Relaxations in the upper age limit are provided for reserved categories as per government rules.

Q3: Is there any negative marking in the CGEPT written exam?

Ans: No, there is no negative marking for wrong answers in the Indian Coast Guard Navik (GD) written examination.

Q4: What does the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) consist of?

Ans: The PFT, which is qualifying in nature, consists of a 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes, 20 Squat ups (Uthak Baithak), and 10 Push-ups.
