HSSC PRT 2025: Exam Overview & Pattern

The selection process for a Primary Teacher in Haryana is a two-stage process. The first is the HTET qualifying exam, and the second is the HSSC Mains recruitment exam, which determines the final merit.

HSSC PRT (JBT) Syllabus 2025: FAQs

Q1: Is qualifying the HTET exam mandatory to apply for HSSC PRT?

Ans: Yes, it is mandatory. Only those candidates who have a valid HTET Level 1 (PRT) qualifying certificate can apply for the HSSC Primary Teacher recruitment.

Q2: What is the role of the HTET score in the final selection?

Ans: The HTET is purely a qualifying exam. Its scores are not added to the final merit list. The final selection is based only on the marks obtained in the HSSC Mains written examination.

Q3: What is the educational qualification for a PRT/JBT teacher in Haryana?

Ans: A candidate must have passed Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks and passed or be appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed), also known as JBT, and must have qualified HTET Level 1.

Q4: Will there be an interview for this post?

Ans: No, as per the current HSSC recruitment policy for Group 'C' posts, there is no interview. The selection is based on the written exam and socio-economic criteria marks (if applicable).
