Agniveer 2025: Exam Overview & Selection Process

The selection process for Indian Army Agniveers is conducted in two phases. Phase 1 is the Online Common Entrance Examination (CEE), and Phase 2 is the Recruitment Rally, which includes physical and medical tests.

Phase 1: Online Common Entrance Examination (CEE)

The CEE is a computer-based test with objective-type multiple-choice questions. The pattern varies based on the trade/category applied for.

This section tests basic numerical and problem-solving skills.

  • Arithmetic: Number System, HCF, LCM, Decimal Fraction, Square Roots, Percentage, Average, Ratio and Proportion, Profit & Loss, Simple Interest.
  • Algebra: Basic algebraic problems and factorization.
  • Geometry: Lines, angles, triangles, quadrilaterals, parallelograms, and circles.
  • Mensuration: Area and perimeter of square, rectangle, parallelogram, and circle; Volume of cube, cuboid, cylinder, cone, and sphere.
  • Trigonometry (For Technical/Clerk): Trigonometric ratios, identities, heights and distances.
Logical Reasoning

This section assesses logical deduction abilities.

  • Number Series, Alphabet Series, Coding-Decoding, Direction Sense, Blood Relations, Analogies.

Ans: The age limit for candidates to apply for the Agniveer scheme is between 17.5 years to 21 years.

Q: What is the tenure of service for an Agniveer?

Ans: The period of service for an Agniveer is four years, which includes the training period.

Q: What happens after completing four years of service as an Agniveer?

Ans: Upon completion of four years, Agniveers will have the opportunity to apply for permanent enrolment in the armed forces. Up to 25% of each specific batch of Agniveers will be enrolled in the regular cadre. The remaining Agniveers will be released with a "Seva Nidhi" financial package.
