The RO/ARO prelims exam will take place on December 22 in two shifts: the first shift is from 9 am to 12 noon, and the second shift is from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. On the following day, December 23, there will be only one shift, from 9 am to 12 noon.
Similarly, the PCS prelims exam will be held on December 7 and 8, also in two shifts each day. The morning shift will run from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, and the afternoon shift will be from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
Despite the opposition, the exam is being held on two days;
the commission had announced to conduct the exam on two different days, which was being opposed. Despite this opposition, now the commission has kept the exam on two different days in the final schedule as well. The commission says that in the government order, holding the exam of more than 5 lakh candidates in one shift has been banned. This limit has been broken due to 10,76,004 candidates applying for the ARO RO recruitment exam. As such, the exam is being conducted on two different days.
